Checking listings and photos

A listing photo is a sales image, not proof of what arrives. This guide explains the difference between promo photos and QC references, and how to sanity-check colour, size and price.

Promo photos vs. QC photos

The images on this site and on the HaulSpreadsheet listings are the seller's product photos. They are made to sell the item and are often studio shots or supplier mockups. They are not warehouse inspection (“QC”) photos of the exact unit you would receive.

A QC photo is taken later, after an agent buys the item and it reaches their warehouse. It shows the real garment before it ships. HipoCool does not show QC photos, because the source listings do not include them. You will see QC photos only after an agent buys the item for you.

Checking colour

  • Compare every photo in the listing. If the colour shifts between shots, lighting is involved and the true shade is uncertain.
  • Screen colour is not reliable. Treat a listing photo as an approximation, not a colour guarantee.
  • When the real QC photos arrive from your agent, that is the point to judge colour — before final shipping.

Checking size

  • Read the seller's centimetre measurements, not the S/M/L label. The same label varies widely between sellers.
  • Measure a garment you already own and compare the numbers directly, rather than guessing from the model photo.
  • For bottoms, waist and inseam decide fit more than any size number. For tops, check chest and length.

Checking price

  • The listed price is the seller's price for the item in Chinese yuan (CNY, ¥). The cards here show that yuan price with an approximate US-dollar figure beside it, marked ≈, converted at a reference rate from exchangerate-api.com dated 23 September 2026. The dollar figure is an estimate for orientation, not a final total or a locked-in price, and no discounted or “was” prices are shown.
  • Your real total is the item price plus domestic shipping in China, any service fee, international shipping and destination charges. Those are quoted on the agent platform, not here.
  • Compare the same item across a few sellers; identical designs often appear at different prices.

Before you commit

Match the item number, read the measurements, and accept that colour and exact quality are only confirmed by QC photos after an agent buys the item. If a detail is not stated in the listing, do not assume it — ask the agent or pick a listing that spells it out.
